Celebrating Fellowship, Recovery, and Service in Doylestown

The TGIS (Thank God I’m Sober) and SAM (Step A Month) Groups invite A.A. members and friends to join them for their 45th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, November 14, 2026.

The celebration begins with food and fellowship at 10:00 AM, followed by anniversary speakers at 11:00 AM.

Come enjoy a morning of fellowship, friendship, and sharing as we celebrate the groups and their continuing commitment to carrying the message of Alcoholics Anonymous.

According to GSO records, the TGIS (Thank God I’m Sober) Group was registered on December 6, 1982.

For many years, the group met at Doylestown Hospital, where it became part of the local A.A. fellowship. The SAM (Step A Month) Group also shares in this anniversary celebration.

When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted in-person meetings at the hospital, the group faced the challenge of finding a new meeting location.

In February 2022, the group found a new home at the American Legion Post on North Street in Doylestown.

The move marked another chapter in the group’s history, allowing members to continue gathering, sharing their experiences, and carrying the message of recovery.

Join the Celebration

Group anniversaries are an opportunity to recognize the members who helped establish and sustain our meetings, reconnect with friends, and welcome newcomers.

Whether you’ve attended TGIS or SAM for years or have never visited either group, we hope you’ll join us for this special celebration.

Food, fellowship, and speakers. All are welcome!
