AA World Services Officially Acquires the Everything AA App

On May 1, 2026, Alcoholics Anonymous World Services (AAWS) officially took ownership of the popular Everything AA mobile app, bringing one of the fellowship’s most widely used digital recovery tools under the stewardship of AA’s General Service Office.

Originally developed independently by AA members as a service-oriented project, the Everything AA app became widely known throughout the fellowship for providing easy access to recovery resources including literature, Daily Reflections, audio recordings, meeting information, and sobriety tools.

Over time, the app grew through word of mouth among AA members, sponsors, home groups, treatment facilities, and online meetings. Many newcomers discovered the app as a convenient way to stay connected to AA literature and meetings directly from their phones.

The official transition to AA World Services reflects the fellowship’s continuing effort to responsibly adapt to changing technology while remaining focused on AA’s primary purpose: carrying the message to alcoholics who still suffer.

For many members, the acquisition represents an important moment in AA’s digital evolution. From printed meeting directories and mailed newsletters to websites, online meetings, and mobile recovery apps, Alcoholics Anonymous has continued finding new ways to make recovery resources accessible to those seeking help.

The Everything AA app continues offering many of the features members have relied on for years, including:

  • Big Book text and audio
  • Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions
  • Daily Reflections
  • Living Sober
  • Literature and pamphlets
  • Online and in-person meeting resources
  • Recovery audio content
  • Sobriety tools

District 23 members who attended the Area 59 Mini Assembly also heard discussion surrounding the transition and the importance of maintaining trusted AA resources in today’s digital environment.

While technology continues to change, AA’s message of recovery, unity, and service remains the same.
